Turmeric has many types, but the one used and available in most Arab markets are two main types, the first type was called in the past female turmeric or called (aromatic turmeric) and this is mostly used externally to treat skin and body problems, and the second type is male turmeric, which is used internally to treat various diseases and problems health.

Female external uses of turmeric :

For external uses, the powder is used to treat modern wounds by sowing it over the wound. For insect bites, apply an ointment prepared from turmeric powder with Vaseline. The same ointment is also used for skin disease, as well as against melasma and some black spots on the face and neck. In Yemen, women use turmeric powder after mixing it with Water for the purpose of cleaning and polishing the face and adding glasses to it and the entire body, especially after menstruation and postpartum bleeding.
